About Us

ZephyrWest was founded to explore social issues with the idea of discovering profitable relationships between the private sector and human need. As history archives the achievements and changes of people and cultures, the 20th century writes a story of social, political and economic experimentation that rises to the level of a world revolution. Best characterized as lightning fast flashes of innovation, the 20th century brought both rapid social change and confusion. Repetitive technological developments in virtually every sector of human endeavor, most especially the sciences and technology, brought civilization new comforts along with the rise of new challenges. For better or worse, relationships between nations, people and cultures have become more intimate and experimental demanding that the boundaries that protected many cherished traditions, political thinking, ethical and moral behaviors be extended. As a world, we are moving towards a "Global Culture", erasing the forces that for millions of years gave structure, purpose and incentives that promoted and maintained the rise of great civilizations and our heritage. Popular thinking and action is diminishing the importance of the individual and the uniqueness that has given substance and fulfillment to the human spirit. In the shape of "multi-culturalism" the best interest of large social entities is actively discarding the trappments of the so-called human baggage which are defined as individual achievement, entrepreneurism, incentive, and competitive will. The new world is attempting to define itself in terms of the group, where people - whose individual identities have been diminished and devalued - operate in peaceful co-existence.

Unfortunately for the current global political pundits, the world is neither that malleable nor simple. The birth of this new world order is replete with problems, obstacles and resistance. Time has repetitively taught the lesson that out of chaos comes order. My personal belief is that efforts underway to erase the individual from the equation of social influence will not only be a dramatic mistake but ultimately a failure as well. Great individual thinkers, although much silenced and devalued, are still a guiding force with which to be reckoned. Creativity that emanates from the spirit of individual dreams and placed into action by human will is the force that ultimately helps guide destiny. It can neither be extinguished nor easily controlled. And it is the will of the human spirit to prevail in the face of the forces of chaos, confusion and bad social policy that ZephyrWest seeks to encourage.

The private sector is really about us, our aspirations, our dreams and most importantly, our achievements. ZephyrWest believes that through its actions to diminish the importance of the individual, government has clearly demonstrated incompetence, bad management and evidence of power gone wildly out of control. It is time for us to re-think the purpose of our understanding of government and its relationship to the private sector. By delegating every social problem and initiative to government, we have abandoned in part our intelligence, our will and reason. After all, social issues are at the heart of the private sector. In fact, if we allow ourselves to be defined as the private sector, then there is no distance between individuals who make up a society and the special needs that are common to its experience. People are our business; they should be supported by government, not run by government.

ZephyrWest intends to leverage the great power of human intelligence and talent, to forge cooperative teams to focus on solutions to the social needs common to our experience. And, by showcasing the achievements of individuals operating in great groups, ZephyrWest will help society reshape and redefine private and public sector relationships to be profitable, not only building on the value of human incentive but also bringing a new level of meaningful, observable and measurable satisfaction to both consumers and workforce.

As the full transition to the Knowledge Age is happening, the world is struggling for an operational understanding of how to capitalize on this revolutionary circumstance. ZephyrWest will build a new organizational model that will allow private sector companies and the people who staff and run them to take advantage of this epic period of change.
